Bel Air High School Athletics and Expectations____________________________________________________

  • Bel Air Athletic Philosophy: To Develop Young Men and Women of the Highest Character through Sports!
  • Student-Athletes must meet HCPS Eligibility Standards.
  • Student-Athletes must follow all HCPS rules and policies.
  • High school athletics is a 5-to-6-day commitment. The expectation is to be at all events and practices.
  • Some teams will make cuts. There will be a 3-day minimum tryout period. Coaches will evaluate your skills, athleticism, coachability, effort, conditioning, and character.

REQUIRED FORMS FOR PARTICIPATION_________________________________________________________

  1. Physical Examination Form
    • Exam must take place after June 7th, 2022 and must be signed/dated by and doctor and include stamp.
    • Both Health History and Doctor side of the form must be completed.
    • Physicals must be on the NEW HCPS form, NO EXCEPTIONS!
    • Physicals must be signed by parent and student/athlete.
    • Free physical opportunities: Upper Chesapeake Sports Medicine, 443-643-3130 (Must make an appointment, NO Walk-ins)

        Tuesday, August 9th, 1:00-5:00 pm

      • HCPS Free Physicals:  June 9th @ Bel Air High School and June 14th @ Edgewood High School.

  2. Athletic Permission Form (Completed in Form Releaf)
  • Physical drop off days and times. (All student athletes must hand in a hard copy of their physical in person to Mr. Reddish. You cannot hand in to your coach. All physicals must be reviewed and approved by the school nurse)
    • 1st Physical Drop Off: June 13th and 14th (4-6 pm at the front entrance of the school)
    • 2nd Physical Drop Off: July 25thand 26th (4-6 pm at the front entrance of the school)
    • 3rd Physical Drop Off: August 1st and 2nd (4-6 pm at the front entrance of the school)
    • Last Physical Drop Off: August 8th (4-6 pm at the from entrance of the school)
