The Bel Air High School Music Department is dedicated to the development of individuals who are aesthetically aware, artistically disciplined, and devoted to a lifelong association with music, either through direct performance, or as a culturally enlightened audience member.

It is our goal to provide comprehensive music experiences in a positive atmosphere thereby encouraging our students to:

•          Develop an awareness of the value of music in our lives and our society.

•          Act as goodwill ambassadors for our school community at the local, state, and national

            level.

•          Develop important life skills such as self-reliance, independence, and teamwork.

•          Strive to become confident, respectful, responsible, self-regulating individuals who will

            be well equipped for maturity as independent, productive adults in our society.
