Work Based Learning

The Career Research & Development Program consists of 2 classroom credits and a 2-credit work-based learning experience.  The program offers students opportunities to learn about potential careers, develop workplace skills, and experience the working environment while still participating in all high school activities and events.

For those students who would like to pursue a career in firefighting or would like to become an EMT,  seniors have an opportunity to earn certifications through the University of Maryland's  Fire Rescue Institute.  Please click on the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute tab on the left side of this screen for more details.
